Functional Overview
The IS200TPROH1C is a 24-channel discrete (digital) input module in the GE Mark VIe control system. Its primary function is to collect discrete signals (contact open/close signals) generated by field devices such as sensors,
 switches, and relays, convert them into digital signals that can be recognized and processed by the PLC or control system CPU,
and transmit the processed data to the GE Speedtronic turbine control system or other control equipment, enabling automated control and monitoring.

On July 14, 2016, the American LED manufacturer Cree announced the sale of its power and RF wireless radio frequency component business Wolfspeed to the German manufacturer Infineon for US$850 million. Infineon was formerly the semiconductor business of Siemens and is currently one of the key companies of the Siemens Group. It is reported that this transaction is a typical example of each taking what he needs. It can not only allow Cree to focus more on the LED component business, quickly become a company more focused on LED lighting, and provide important resources to accelerate its growth; it can also allow Cree to focus more on the LED component business. This enables Infineon to obtain more technology and resources and continue to expand its product lines in the fields of automotive electronics and mobile phones, as well as in the fields of energy, green energy and the Internet of Things.

As Europe’s largest semiconductor company, Infineon acquired Cree’s Wolfspeed business for US$850 million in cash. This division produces compound semiconductors and power management chips and has performed well in this field. The acquisition is expected to expand Infineon’s product line to include a range of sensors, radar and security products. It is reported that Cree spun off its power semiconductor business to establish Wolfspeed. It originally planned to raise more funds from the public market through the IPO. Now it has changed its original intention and sold it to Infineon, which is very interested in it, at a satisfactory price, which can also be used to increase capital. Give it a try in the LED business and focus more on the LED lighting business, including LED chips, LED bulbs, and power switching components (optical couplers).

On October 6, Cree Corporation (CREE) announced that Daniel Castillo was appointed president of lighting business and took office on November 7. As president of lighting, Castillo reports to Chuck Swoboda and is responsible for leading the commercial and consumer lighting business units. Prior to joining Cree, Castillo worked at Eaton Corporation, where he served as senior vice president of oil, gas and IECAssemblies. Prior to Eaton, Castillo held leadership roles in lighting and other electrical products at Cooper Industries and General Electric.

Castillo has 25 years of experience in multinational industrial companies and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Florida International University and a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University.
